Frequently asked questions
How accurate are SnapCalo's calorie and macro estimates?
SnapCalo uses AI, visible portion cues, nutrition databases, and in some cases external web sources. Results remain estimates and can be wrong, especially when ingredients are hidden, portions are unclear, or a recipe contains oils, sauces, or fillings that are not visible. Review and edit results before saving.
What should I do when a scan is incorrect?
Use the app's edit functions to correct food items, portion sizes, calories, or macros. Where available, send feedback from the app so the issue can be investigated. A clear photo with good lighting and the full meal visible usually improves the result.
Why did the analysis fail?
Check your internet connection, try a smaller or clearer image, and confirm that the image contains visible food. Temporary outages, request limits, subscription verification, or third-party service problems can also interrupt analysis. Try again later and contact support if the problem continues.
How do I manage or cancel Premium?
Subscriptions are managed through the store used for purchase. On iOS, open Apple ID subscription settings. On Android, open Google Play subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
I paid, but Premium is not active. What should I do?
Confirm that you are signed into the same Apple or Google account used for the purchase, check that the subscription is active in the store, reopen SnapCalo, and use any available restore-purchases function. Send support a screenshot of the store subscription status, but never send full payment details.
Can SnapCalo be used for medical nutrition decisions?
No. SnapCalo is a general lifestyle and self-tracking tool. It is not medical advice and should not be used as the sole basis for allergy, diabetes, pregnancy, eating-disorder, medication, or treatment decisions.
Does SnapCalo require an account?
The current version is designed without a conventional personal SnapCalo account. Purchases remain associated with the Apple or Google account used for the transaction.
How can I request access to or deletion of data?
Send a request to snapcalosupport@gmail.com. Since there is no standard SnapCalo account, explain which support message, feedback report, purchase, device installation, or approximate date relates to your request. Locally stored app data can generally be removed through the app, by clearing app data, or by uninstalling the app.
